当前，交通空间多属于交通工程与规划研究的专属领域，但是基于工程理性的交通空间研究难以全面捕捉影响交通空间使用品质的个体体验与背景环境要素。为了拓展交通空间的研究视野，推动围绕交通空间日常实践开展研究，提升交通空间设计应对未来变化的韧性，相关学者与从业人员需要重新审视交通空间作为城市场所具有的多层次意义。通过整理分析“流动性范式”中涉及交通空间的相关研究，本文从城市景观、公共领域和政治工具三个方面解读总结了“流动性”视野下交通空间的意义，并指出这些解读对拓展交通空间研究内容、挖掘影响交通空间规划与运用的因素，以及补充交通空间研究方法有重要作用。笔者认为，多元化解读城市交通空间一方面能够鼓励交通领域学者关注动态复杂背景环境的影响，另一方面能够促进围绕交通空间开展多学科互动研究。
