Research on Egyptian Urban Planning System and Its Implications for China-Egypt Cooperation Development
Abstract:
With the continuous advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative, China’s cooperations with countries along the routes have deepened. Urban planning, as a significant public policy of the government, holds crucial value for fostering cooperation in construction between both sides. This paper, based on the study of relevant literature and case analyses, systematically studies urban development issues in Egypt, the legal and regulatory system of Egyptian urban planning, administrative management systems of Egyptian urban planning, and planning drawing-up system of Egypt. It establishes a comparative context between China and Egypt’s planning systems to analyze the characteristics and issues of Egypt’s urban planning system. Building upon this foundation and considering the specific issues and development needs of Egyptian cities, this paper provides planning-oriented recommendations for China-Egypt cooperation in urban construction enterprises under the framework of the Belt and Road initiative.
