Abstract:

Urban integration is the advanced form of regional cooperation in the later stage of urban agglomeration development, which is a strategic choice to reduce urban administrative barriers and enhance urban regional competitiveness, but also the reconstruction and challenges of its own methodology. From the perspective of spatial governance, this paper first reviews and reflects main difficulties when urban integration strategy is implemented in our country. Based on the practical experience of Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta in China and Kyoto-Osaka in Japan, taking the “logic of power, logic of capital and logic of society” as the entry point of collaborative governance of urban space, this paper then puts forward the main direction and recommendations of urban integration strategy implementation for China in the new period.
